Bang, Bang, Bang on the door

I was at synergy last night, and let me tell you I was absolutely irrevocably amazed about how great our God is, I was so into the message and worship that it brought me to tears.  The theme is called "The Elephant in the Church."  Which talks about subjects that most church's deny, and last nights sermon was about sex.  He didn't talk about the what of sex, but the why.
I was so interested in it because he was going on to explain the church at Corinth.  (1 Corinthians and the 2 Corinthians) Corinth was situated at a major trade route which brings about a thriving economy.  For this reason, large numbers of sailors and merchants from every nation flocked to the city of Corinth.  Corinth was a tragic center influence for the gospel since the travelers who heard the gospel could carry it to all parts of the world.  But the city of Corinth was one of the most wicked cities because immortality, business dealings etc was practiced there.  There was this temple, called Aphrodite which stood on a hill called Acrocorinth, and housed temple prostitutes.  Apostle Paul was able to establish a church in Corinth.  He wrote the Corinthians letters to these people, and I believe to us.
In college or any where else, people get into relationships to feel loved or needed.  Last night the pastor was reading some letters that people jotted down confessing what has happened unto them or just sins, and I was an emotional wreck.  Some people have been emotionally abused, physically abused, having sexually desires etc.  As he was reading I couldn't help but think why girls would put themselves in situations like that or even rely on a guy.  Every woman wants to be seen, wanted, and pursued.  We want to be romanced.  But what kills me is girls get so caught up in relationships that they rely on their boyfriend, when all we need is God.  Men can be deceiving because some aren't at the full capacity or mature enough to have our heart.  Girls, I say this out of love and care, look for a man who has his eyes, his heart, AND his mind all on God.  You want a man who loves God more then he loves you.  Gods love for us is incomprehensible.
As I was meditating on God and his creation, it was so hard for me to grasp why God, creator of space, a God who knows all about biology, chemistry, physics, math etc, a God who is a creative creator.  I mean he created a fish with a light bulb dangling from his head, how cool is that?!  But how could that God love an unworthy, sinning being like me.  I have no idea, but he does!  Guys no one else can love you the way God loves us.  I promise you.  We try to fill this hole and a longing in us, when our soul mate has been knocking all along, God.
Watch this video, and just meditate.  Think about how great our God is and the Love he can give us, it's amazing guys.  He is the light of the universe.
